Philosopy

I'm Shellie and I probably don't have to tell you that I love what I do. I've been told it shows and I would tend to agree. I also could tell you about my lifelong obsession with photography but again, you probably can tell I'm a bit of a photography nut. My goal as a portrait photographer is to provide you with gorgeous, soulful images that truly express the personality of the person being photographed. I work in-studio or on-location. I do have my own fully-equipped, dedicated studio. I also am obsessive about providing the finest quality imaging--I think you deserve crisp, clear, sharp, technically superior images. After all, we're freezing time here. I want to freeze it perfectly.

My Bio

Somehow, I've hit my mid-to-late thirties. I'm not exactly sure *how* that happened, but I sort of like it. Let's just say it's way better than I thought it would be! I'm married to my college sweeetheart (15 years and counting, baby!) and we have four amazing children ages 3 through 14. My husband, Tom, likes to tease me because I'm all of 107 days older. He works with me sometimes, so don't be alarmed if a software developer greets you first at our session, even though photographing babies and children is mainly my gig (I'd never shoot a wedding without him though!). Also, please do not be alarmed if I do not have time to straighten my hair before our session. I only say this on the off chance that my flat iron might break or that I might run out of one of the hair-taming products on which I rely. Full disclosure, ok? And while I'm fully disclosing, I'll also mention that I love to listen to music and sing (yes, your session will be proofed to amateur singing!), I love gardening, I love cooking and feeding my family healthy food, I love my husband, I love my kids, I love movies and I love books (not necessarily in this order). Oh, and I am a little hooked on hand sanitizers of all kinds. (Pass the Germ-X!) If you want to read more about us in detail, I'm further doing the TMI thing over at our blog.
